Palram Canopia Mythos 6ft x 4ft Grey Greenhouse

The Palram Canopia Mythos Grey Greenhouse (705897BUN) is a 6ft x 4ft apex-roof greenhouse measuring 1.85m x 1.26m. That gives you a floor area of just over 2.3 square metres enough for two grow bags and a shelf of pots in a compact garden. The grey aluminium frame is rust-resistant and sits on a galvanised steel perimeter base that handles wind speeds up to 90km/hr and snow loads of 75kg/m².

The frame is aluminium with a UV-treated finish. Glazing is 4mm twin-wall polycarbonate shatterproof, fracture-proof and rated at 82% light transmission. The panels block harmful UV rays and increase thermal insulation to keep temperatures steady. Pre-cut panels slide into uniform profiles so assembly is straightforward.

A manually-opened roof vent lets you regulate temperature without guesswork. The single door has a magnetic catch and a padlock fixing (padlock not included) and can be set for left or right-hand opening. Integrated rain gutters collect runoff for watering. No staging is included but compatible shelves and a workbench are available separately. Tomatoes, peppers and seedlings all do well in here.

A 5-year limited warranty backs the build. It needs no floor but must be fixed to a solid level base. Maintenance free and built to last year-round.

The 1.85m x 1.26m floor fits two standard grow bags side by side enough for four to six tomato or pepper plants. Add a shelf kit and you gain a second tier for seed trays and pot-grown herbs. In spring use the floor space for trays of seedlings before planting out. In summer two grow bags of tomatoes or cucumbers work well. In autumn and winter the twin-wall polycarbonate retains enough heat to overwinter tender perennials and half-hardy plants. A compatible heater keeps temperatures frost-free on the coldest nights.

The Mythos is described as completely maintenance free. The polycarbonate panels will not discolour or fade and the aluminium frame will not rust. Wipe down the panels with a soft cloth and mild detergent to keep light transmission at its best. Check the roof vent operates freely each season. Clear the integrated gutters of debris to keep water flowing.

At 1.85m x 1.26m this greenhouse fits into a corner or along a fence line in a small garden. Allow at least 600mm in front of the door for it to open fully. The sides and rear need only enough clearance to clean the glazing around 300mm is practical. The apex roof sheds rain without overhanging.
