The Halls Wall Garden 26 (product 70874) is a lean-to pent roof greenhouse measuring 1.94m x 0.69m (6'5 x 2'4). With a base area of just 1.34m² it fits where a standard greenhouse simply won't. That makes it a practical choice for small gardens, patios and even balconies.

The aluminium frame is rust resistant and low maintenance and carries a 12-year guarantee. Glazing is 3mm horticultural glass as standard. Toughened safety glass is available as an optional upgrade and Halls recommend it for both safety and performance. The pent roof sheds rain cleanly and the aluminium construction needs no painting or treating.

Ventilation comes from one opening roof vent. The single sliding door is 588mm wide with a smooth action. No staging is included but optional two-shelf wire staging is available separately. At this size you can realistically grow tomatoes, herbs, chillies and seedlings. It suits anyone who wants to extend the growing season without giving up much garden space.

A 12-year frame guarantee backs the build quality. It needs a firm level base which is not included but an optional steel base kit is available. Self-assembly with instructions and fittings supplied. Also available in green or as a smaller 4x2 model.

No base is included. The greenhouse must stand on a firm level surface. An optional steel base kit is available separately and works on both hard and soft ground. It includes steel corner ground spikes and adds 5 inches to the overall height. You will need to prepare the ground yourself before assembly.

Self-assembly only. Two people are needed and the job typically takes 2 to 4 hours. All instructions and fixings are supplied in the box. No professional installation is included in the standard package though an installation service is available through the site. The lean-to design keeps the build straightforward but a second pair of hands is essential for holding panels during glazing.

The 1.34m² base area is compact but practical. On the floor you can fit one standard grow bag lengthways for two or three tomato or pepper plants. Add the optional two-shelf wire staging and you gain space for seed trays and pot-grown herbs in spring. In summer the staging holds chillies and aubergines in pots while tomatoes grow from the floor. In autumn clear the staging and use the floor space to overwinter tender perennials and half-hardy plants in pots away from frost.

The aluminium frame needs no painting or annual treatment. Clean the horticultural glass panels with a soft cloth and mild detergent to keep light transmission high. Check the roof vent opens and closes freely each season. Keep the sliding door track clear of grit and debris. No timber retreatment is required.

At just 0.69m deep this greenhouse sits tight against a wall or fence without eating into the garden. You need clearance at the front to open the sliding door fully and at the side for the roof vent. It cannot go into a corner where the door would be blocked. The 1.34m² footprint is small but the optional staging doubles usable growing surface by stacking two wire shelves above the floor space.
