Halls Popular 66 Green Aluminium Apex Greenhouse 6ft 4in x 6ft 5in (1.93m x 1.95m)

The Halls Popular 66 (SO8111) is a 6x6 apex greenhouse with a footprint of 1.93m x 1.95m that's roughly 6ft 4in x 6ft 5in giving you 3.8m² of growing space. For a small garden that's a solid amount of usable floor area without taking over the whole plot.

The frame is powder-coated aluminium finished in green with diagonal bracing for rigidity against wind and rain. Standard glazing is 3mm horticultural glass fitted with clips and rubber gaskets. You can upgrade to toughened safety glass or 4mm twinwall UV-stabilised polycarbonate both install the same way. The frame carries a 12-year guarantee.

There is one roof vent for airflow with an optional auto-opener available separately. The smooth-running 600mm sliding door adds extra ventilation when left open. No staging is included but aluminium 1-tier or 2-tier staging and a 3-tier seed tray frame are all available as add-ons.

This greenhouse suits beginner gardeners who want a proven low-maintenance structure. Integral gutters manage rainwater. It also comes in silver and in 6x4, 6x8 and 6x10 sizes if you need more or less space.

No base is included. The greenhouse must sit on a firm level surface a concrete slab or solid paving is ideal. A matching green steel base designed for this model is available to buy at the same time as the greenhouse. You need to prepare and level the ground yourself before assembly.

This greenhouse arrives flat packed for DIY assembly. Two people are needed and the job takes an estimated 2 to 4 hours. All fixings and instructions are included. The 1.93m x 1.95m floor gives you room for two standard grow bags side by side that's up to six tomato or pepper plants. Add a staging shelf along one side and you free up bench space for seed trays in spring. The 3-tier seed tray frame accessory holds 15 trays at once. In summer use the floor for cucumbers or aubergines. Over winter the space will protect tender perennials and overwintering cuttings from frost add a paraffin heater to keep temperatures above freezing on the coldest nights.

The aluminium frame needs no annual retreatment. Wipe glazing panels down with warm soapy water each season to keep light levels up. Check the roof vent opens and closes freely. Clear the integral gutters of leaves and debris in autumn. No painting or timber treatment is required.

At 1.93m x 1.95m this greenhouse fits into a corner or along a fence line in a small garden. Leave at least 600mm clearance on the door side to slide it fully open.
