Forest Garden 4ft x 4ft Wallscape Lean-To Greenhouse with Open Back

The Forest Garden Wallscape is a 4' x 4' lean-to greenhouse (1.28m x 1.34m) with a pent roof designed to sit flush against a wall or fence. LTGH44HDBUN is the open-back variant ideal for small patios and courtyards where space is tight. At just over 1.2m wide you still get a genuine walk-in structure with room to grow.

The frame is built from FSC-certified timber on a 28mm x 28mm pressure-treated frame with 12mm shiplap tongue-and-groove cladding. The shiplap's interlocking profile keeps the interior dry. Glazing is shatterproof scratch-resistant acrylic lighter and safer than horticultural glass used on both the sides and the 28mm-thick acrylic roof panels.

A large opening roof vent regulates temperature inside. The single door fits at either end of the structure. No staging is included but a wooden potting bench is available separately. You can realistically grow tomatoes peppers herbs and overwinter tender plants in here.

A 15-year anti-rot guarantee backs the pressure-treated timber with no further treatment needed. Three back panel styles open, solid or glazed and three sizes give you real flexibility. Fixings and instructions are included for DIY assembly.

The 28mm x 28mm timber frame is pressure treated throughout and clad in 12mm shiplap tongue-and-groove boards. The interlocking shiplap profile creates a tight weatherproof seal without relying on fillers or sealants. The pent roof pitches away from the wall to shed rainwater. Acrylic panels 28mm thick on the roof are fixed into the frame and are shatterproof if struck. The single roof vent is hinged and manually operated. The open-back design uses the wall or fence as the rear structural face which also braces the structure laterally against wind load.

No base or flooring is included. You must prepare a firm level surface before assembly a concrete slab or level paving is the recommended option. The greenhouse will not stand safely on uneven or soft ground. Ground preparation is entirely the buyer's responsibility before the build begins.

The greenhouse arrives flat packed at 100kg. Fixings and full instructions are included. It is a two-person job one person cannot safely manage the panels alone. Allow a full day for assembly. No professional installation is included as standard though installation is available as an add-on through the site. All fixings come in the box.

The 1.18m x 1.24m base gives you enough floor space for two standard grow bags side by side that is around four to six tomato or pepper plants. In spring use the floor space for seed trays and module cells. A potting bench (available separately) adds a useful work surface and lower shelf for pots. In summer the height 2059mm at the ridge gives tomato plants room to grow tall. In autumn and winter use it to overwinter tender perennials, fuchsias and citrus in pots.

The pressure-treated timber needs no re-treatment during the 15-year guarantee period. Clean the acrylic glazing with a soft cloth and mild soapy water avoid abrasive cleaners. Check the roof vent opens and closes freely each spring. Clear any debris from the roof and check the shiplap joints stay tight after winter.

The open-back design means the greenhouse sits directly against a wall or fence no wasted clearance behind it. You need roughly 600mm clear at one end to open the door fully. It cannot go into a true corner as the door needs access. The 1.18m width is compact but the 1.89m eaves height means you get full standing room and usable bench space despite the small footprint.
