The Palram Canopia Mythos 6x8 greenhouse (705561BUN) measures 1.85m x 2.47m (6ft x 8ft) and sits in the small greenhouse category. That footprint gives you a usable floor area of around 4.5 square metres enough for two grow bags plus staging in a compact garden.

The frame is rust-resistant aluminium with a galvanised steel perimeter base. Glazing is 4mm twin wall polycarbonate shatterproof and fracture-proof. Panels are pre-cut with uniform profiles and slide into place. The structure is wind resistant to 90km/hr and snow-load tested to 75kg/m².

A single manually-opened roof vent lets you regulate temperature. No staging is included but the optional Rion 2-tier bench or Palram Canopia shelves fit straight in. 82% light transmission through UV-protected panels makes this well suited to tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and year-round seed sowing.

The door fits left or right-hand opening with a magnetic catch and padlock fixing. Integrated rain gutters collect runoff for watering. Backed by a 5-year limited warranty and described as maintenance free, this is a solid all-year growing structure for a small garden.

The aluminium frame uses extruded sections to hold pre-cut 4mm twin wall polycarbonate panels in place via a sliding profile system. Twin wall construction creates an air gap between the two panel skins which improves thermal insulation and reduces temperature swings. No floor is supplied with this greenhouse. It must be fixed to a solid level base a concrete slab or firm paving is the right choice. You will need to prepare the ground yourself before assembly. The galvanised steel perimeter base sits on top of the prepared surface and is secured to it.

Panels are pre-cut with uniform profiles and slide directly into the aluminium frame no cutting required. This is a flat-pack DIY assembly. Two people are strongly recommended. Most builds are completed in a few hours. Assembly instructions are supplied and all fixings come with the greenhouse. No professional installation is included in the standard package though installation is available as an add-on.

The 1.85m x 2.47m floor gives you room for two standard grow bags side by side. That fits four to six tomato plants or three cucumber plants on the floor. Add the optional Rion 2-tier staging bench and you gain a second level for seed trays in spring. In summer use the floor for tomatoes and peppers and the staging for herbs. In autumn clear the floor and bring in tender fuchsias or overwintering geraniums. The 82% light transmission keeps plants growing well even in low winter light.

The aluminium frame and polycarbonate panels are described as maintenance free. Wipe panels down with a soft cloth and mild detergent to keep light transmission at its best. Check the roof vent opens and closes freely each season. Clear the integrated gutters of leaf debris regularly. No timber treatment is required as there is no timber in this greenhouse.

At 1.85m wide and 2.47m deep this greenhouse fits into a modest garden plot. Allow around 600mm clearance on the door side to open it fully and access the roof vent. It does not need to sit against a wall it is a freestanding structure. The apex roof keeps the footprint tight while the interior gives you full standing height at the ridge. Floor space plus optional staging means you get more growing area than the footprint suggests.
