The frame is built from 44mm x 44mm R4C timber with 12mm cladding solid construction that holds its shape. The wood gets a microporous oil coating and pressure treatment to fight rot. Glazing is 3mm toughened glass throughout including the door which also has chrome handles and a 3-lever mortice lock.

Two roof vents sit on either side of the apex and let you control temperature without guesswork. 2-shelf staging is included with brackets to fix it to the frame ready for pots and seed trays from day one. You can realistically grow tomatoes peppers cucumbers and overwinter tender plants in here.

The included 2-shelf staging runs along one side and holds seed trays and smaller pots around 12 to 16 standard 9cm pots per shelf. In spring use the staging for seed sowing and propagation. In summer grow tomatoes cucumbers or peppers on the floor. In autumn and winter use the staging to overwinter tender plants like fuchsias and pelargoniums.

Retreat the timber once a year to protect against rot and fungal decay this is required to maintain protection. The wood arrives with microporous oil and pressure treatment applied. Clean the toughened glass panels periodically to maintain light levels. Check that the two roof vents open and close freely each season. The 1-year warranty does not replace the need for annual retreatment.

At 1.32m wide and 2.4m deep this greenhouse fits into a side return or a corner of a small garden. You need clearance on the right-hand side to open the door fully allow at least 600mm. The two apex vents open upward so no side clearance is needed for ventilation. It should not be placed directly against a wall on the door side.
